BPUMC KIDS

camp on the bluff

Camp on the Bluff is June 16-19 Monday through Thursday. Camp on the Bluff is only open to rising kindergarten through 5th grade (2025/2026.) Rising 6th graders are too old to attend. The Camp day is 9am-1pm and the cost is $50 per camper for the week. Campers will need to bring lunch each day. Early drop-off starting at 7:30am will be available for $10 per camper for the week. Extended care ending each day at 4pm will be available for $10 per day per camper and you can sign up for as many or as little days as you need.

The camps available this year are COOKING, GARDENING, SPORTS, SCIENCE AND SEWING.

COOKING-Campers will learn the basic of cooking and following a recipe!

GARDENING-Master Gardeners will teach campers to fall in love with the timeless life skill of gardening.

SPORTS-Campers will learn the basics of a different sport each day. Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, and gym games (like kickball.)

SCIENCE-Each day campers will come to love science through cool projects and exciting experiments!

SEWING (4th/5th only) This small camp will give campers the chance to learn the basics of a sewing machine and how to transform their creativity into reality!

STEP 1 JANUARY 27TH 6AM!

STEP 1 For this first round of registration we are just securing spots. So we will be asking for a bare minimum of information. THIS FIRST STEP WILL NOT GO LIVE UNTIL 6AM ON JANUARY 27TH, 2025. ALL SPOTS WILL BE FILLED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES AND FOR MOST CAMPS ONLY A MATTER OF SECONDS!

Here’s how to do step 1. Select the camp you want your child to attend. Click the link and fill in the questions. At this time you will only need: PARENT EMAIL ADDRESS, CAMPER’S FIRST NAME, CAMPER’S LAST NAME, AND CAMPER’S GRADE 2025/2026 (note this is next year!)

The EMAIL ADDRESS is how we will send you STEP 2 so make sure you type it correctly! We will be on a hard deadline to complete registration and pay so you do not want to miss anything!

TIPS FOR STEP 1

HERE ARE THE BEST TIPS WE CAN THINK OF FOR STEP 1!

TIP-Copy your email address onto your clipboard so you are ready to go!

TIP-If you are registering multiple kids for multiple camps go ahead and have those tabs open on another window or even better…(next tip)

TIP-Have somebody help you register if you are registering more than one kid. Like mom, registers one, dad registers another on a separate device.

TIP-Pull up the links to the camps and refresh them as we get close to 6am on 1/27

Once you successfully register your camper for Step 1 you will be sent a confirmation email telling you that you were successful. That email will include contact info for any questions. It will be a few weeks before you are sent an email with Step 2. That email will come from mhendon@bpumc.org. There is a hard deadline for Step 2 so be sure to look out for that email! We will have a waitlist waiting for your camper’s spot!

STEP 2

A few weeks after all the spots have been secured you will receive an email from mhendon@bpumc.org. This email will have the full registration for camp where we will collect payment, allergies, and everything else. It will also have links to early drop off and extended care. You will have about a month to complete the registration before we give your spot away to folks on the waitlist.

THE WAIT LIST

Use the waitlist registration if your camper didn’t get their first choice or if they didn’t get a spot at all. We will use time stamps to determine who gets what spot first.

LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS.

At BPUMC Kids, our goal is to help children from infancy through 5th grade learn who God is, how much God loves them, how they can have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, how they can grow in that relationship, and how they can share the love of God with others.

We have Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:45AM, Children's Church every Sunday morning (except the first Sunday of the month) during both our 8:45 Traditional Worship Service and our 10:45 Gathering Worship Service , and Midweek Meetup every Wednesday night during the school year from 5:30-7:30 PM. Check out our upcoming events or sign up for our newsletter below for more information, and we'll see you soon!

We have a Child Protection First Policy in place and require a background check and child safety training for all volunteer and paid staff who work with our children.

CHILD SAFETY POLICIES

Bluff Park United Methodist Church believes that all persons are significant to the growth of God’s kingdom and should have opportunity to worship, learn, and serve in various capacities to ensure personal growth and growth of others. We seek to provide an environment that is physically, emotionally and spiritually safe for all persons who enter our doors, especially children and youth. It is our goal to be a “Safe Sanctuary” where we can work hand-in-hand growing our children and youth in their faith and a life devoted to Christ.

This document contains theological foundations, definitions of child abuse, and policies/procedures related to prevention, response, and reporting.
